Big Meadows Interdisciplinary Team
Big Meadows utilizes an interdisciplinary team in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of each resident. Under the direction of our Medical Director and primary care physicians, individualized care plans are developed to assist each resident in attaining their fullest achievable potential and to ensure that a program of the most comprehensive health care services is being delivered. The treatment team is comprised of professionals from a variety of clinical disciplines.
Restorative Nursing CareNursing care is provided 24-hours per day by our team of licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants. Nursing responsibilities include medication and treatment administration, training in self-care skills and activities of daily living, providing range of motion exercises and meeting personal care needs.
Restorative Rehabilitation ServicesBig Meadows provides restorative rehabilitation services up to 5 days per week under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist with assistance from rehabilitation aides. Outpatient services include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech/language pathology.
Physician ServicesOur on-site Physician makes "house calls" to resident rooms and is available to consult with families.
Registered DieticianOur quality menus are approved by our Registered Dietician and served in Cafe' Meadows, our quaint Italian Bistro.
Recreational TherapyA wide variety of recreational opportunities are provided daily under the direction of a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
Social ServicesThe Social Services department provides ongoing assistance for residents and family members.
